Saturday Morning Run and Coffee – 8.6 mi Cactus Wren to GVP with 4 mi option

Join us Saturday March 4 at 6:30AM for our weekly run and coffee meetup. Beginners to advanced runners (or walkers) welcome. Expect run-related education (nutrition, running form, injury prevention, etc), dynamic warm up and run with us.

All abilities welcome and you can easily shorten or lengthen the course if needed.

This month’s course is an 8.6 mi loop with a 3 mile option

Turn-by-turn directions are as follows:

8.6 mi route (reads WAY more complicated than it actually is):
-East on Wigwam from Desert Bloom Park (0.2 mi)
-Right on 215 trail (1.5 mi)
-Right on Cactus Wren Trail (0.7 mi)
-Left on Ivanpah Dr (0.5 mi)
-Through Cactus Wren Park, over St Rose Bridge to Siena Heights Trailhead (0.5 mi)
-Left on Siena Heights Dr (0.2 mi)
-Continue on Amargosa Trail (1 mi)
-Left on Green Valley Pkwy (0.2 mi)
-Left on Paseo Verde Pkwy (1.1 mi)
-Right on Pecos Rd (0.2 mi)
-Left on Serene Ave (0.8 mi)
-Right on Cactus Wren Trail (0.2 mi)
-Left on 215 Trail (1.5 mi)
-Left on Wigwam (0.2 mi)

4 mi route (much simpler):
-East on WIgwam from Desert Bloom Park (0.2 mi)
-Right on 215 trail (1.5 mi)
-Right on Cactus Wren Train (0.2 mi)
Turn around at the first water stop and go back the way you came.

Our meetup is free and open to all. Conversation and fun encouraged. Water provided! Stick around for coffee after!

All distances are approximate and all the turns and major intersections on the course will be chalk marked. You are more than welcome (even encouraged) to shorten or lengthen the course to your needs. Water will be provided on the course and at the start /finish line. Please be familiar with the route by Saturday. See you at 630am!
